A set of 86 hand-built, 2K Robe textures for the Mages of Winterhold. Mage Armor rank 1 boosts your armor by 80 points, rank 2 boosts it by 100 points, and rank 3 increases by 120 points. yep that was it, didnt notice there was to versions one for masks and one for robes. Still, it can sometimes be a pain to wear pesky heavy armor.
If you just want plain robes, I did a royal purple robe by request, but it's got primrary lightning stats.
As far as other skill trees go, Alteration for mage armor makes the most sense, although I personally find it annoying to constantly re-cast it.The best race in Skyrim for a pure mage build is almost definitely the Altmer (High Elf).Robes, light armor, and heavy armor are all included within this mod. Magic is, canonically, supposed to be surrounded by distrust and superstition in Skyrim. But most of them are not available in the normal game, most of them have no magic, and the only one that does (Blue Mage Robes) gives you 50% magicka regen rate, like the Novice Robes, but it has a hood which cannot be removed and which prevents you from both seeing your toon, and wearing any headgear.
